Van Greener + Lindsay
How about next friday (23rd) we will book the room. (the boys cant do saturday)
Neil i think you will be cowbell, percussion & vocals lol. Not enough time for the bass lol. Bring We can have a few tinnies & maybe some food (takeaway)
Mick how are your songs coming on ?
I can do a rendition of them now, no worries about Luke lol so if you just want to practice a good guitar pose in the mirror that should be ok.
Give Luke a ring and he will look for a guitar for you (he says you could get an SG for a decent price)

Re: Van Greener + Lindsay
Yes, next Friday is fine with me.
I think I can do a half decent job on fire and water, I know it will take Luke about 5 mins to do this, but can he do this version of the Kossoff solo?(see link) I can also manage good loving gone bad and back in black. Jumping Jack flash is fairly easy, but I cannot find the bloody key that the Stones play it in. Rock n roll, I need to practice, I will see how I get on. I have not looked at thin lizzy yet.
If Luke can bring his other guitar and strap along on Friday I will have a chat with him about the merits of an SG.
Let me know the details later but I am really looking forward to this! Neil snd Simon, how are is the percussion and vocals coming aong?

Talk about a kid with a new toy....it arrived today, it looks absolutely stunning and the quality is suberb. I cannot believe it for the really good price I paid. Cannot wait to hear it plugged in. Shame I sound like I will be playing with gloves on though. Still, Luke will coax some amazing sounds out of it. See you there I will come straight from work.

When can we do it again! Fantastic stuff! I am going through a few more tracks I can bring next time. Think I will try the hunter and can't get enough of your love. I have also gained a new appreciation of Thin Lizzy...might try dancing in the moon light and the boys are back in town.

Brilliant stuff, I am we could rig that up somehow. I have added Rosalie to the list. Really could do with a month off work to practice. ha ha

Re: Van Greener + Lindsay
I am really pleased you guys enjoyed it. Bit ropey on some but i think we pretty much nailed a few. Mick i know you want to add to your repertoire, Thin Lizzy is good stuff to play, i love the drumming in jailbreak, Rosalie is a good one also Bad Co, any suits me as i play them all lol. Kirke is one of my favourite drummers i love his solid beat. Lizzy is a bit different as Downey often plays a shuffle which is also good to play.
I enjoyed the singing but glad i was drowned out as i am crap ha.
Neil you should give some serious thought to discovering if you are musical, Why not buy a cheap bass sometime & give it a go ? maybe take a few lessons its a good place to start & its not too tricky an instrument, would be great to have you up there playing as well.
Well looks like we have found something else to do to add to our second teenage years lol

Re: Van Greener + Lindsay
I agree with Paul Neil, nothing ventured nothing gained! Give it a go for a few weeks at least.
Bloody fingers are knackered today, index finger has a blister on it and the top joint has seized up! Think I need to rest them for a couple of days. Paul I thought your drumming was brill last night, with a bit of practice on a few tracks I think we can be really good. I know I will be a lot better by the next time.
