Book on Arnhem Empty Book on Arnhem

Post  Steve Cheney Sat May 08, 2010 3:59 pm

Paul/Mick
Just took delivery of a book purchased off ebay - "Retake of Arnhem Bridge". It is a photographic record and more from a German soldier's photo collection. Absolutely brilliant! Bit pricey at £39 + p&p but one of the best books I have seen on the battle, allbeit from a German perspective. Copies still available (only 1000 printed). Search by Arnhem on ebay to find it.

Hi Steve, good to hear from you. The book sounds great, would love to see pictures of Arnhem that I have not seen before. Me Paul, Neil, Tom adn possibly John are planning to go it alone seeing we had the time booked off work. We still intend doing the Bulge but also taking in the Hurtegen forest. Never been there before so it is really exciting. We will keep you informed on what we are doing.

Hope things are going ok with you.

Hi Steve

Good to hear from you. Hope you manage to get a bit of time to have a look at some of the links we have put up, there is some interesting reading. I think we all have the bug for Arnhem, its a special place one i hope to get back to soon.
Take care and keep in touch, if you need anything let us know.

Post  Steve Cheney Sun May 09, 2010 1:53 pm

Mick/Paul,

Good to hear from you too. I am kept up to date on your plans by John Heath, I hope you have a successful trip. I'd love to join you but circumstances dictate that it's impossible.
Will keep in touch.
