Top left, part of a brown leather boot from next to a foxhole overlooking Foy on the right hand side of the road.

Top right shows communication cable from a foxhole overlooking Foy, middle bits are shrapnel, then barbed wire.

The bottom left could possibly be from a helmet

Headlight of some sort, note the olive drab paint, only one i can find similar on the net is from a sherman

Small bottle, possibly a medicine bottle

Quite a thought provoking piece, a young American GI put this in his rifle when under attack deep in the Hurtgen Forest, did this clip save his life ? did he die? did he kill Germans or did he miss, there are loads of different paths history could and did take because of this small item.

German barbed wire - this stuff was from around a destroyed bunker in the Hurtgen (look how thick it is)

It was a great trip m8t seen so much it's still hard to take it all in. Would be great if you could hook up with us for the next trip. It was brilliant being away with the boys again we had had so much fun at night cooking dinner and drinking red wine......fantastic fun. Hope you and the family are all well and looking forward to the summer months, tell Mick i said ello.
